International Champion
Foosa earned her International Conformation Championship on April 8, 2007 at the age of 20 months.  She also went on to earn a Hound Group first in all 3 shows that weekend and competed in the Best-in-show ring all with a novice owner-handler.
FOOSA UKC CHAMPION
Foosa earned her UKC Conformation Championship on Jan 21, 2006 at the age of 17 months. This requires a score of 100 points with at least  three competition wins.  Foosa showed beautifully and qualified with style earning multipal group placements including a "Group 2" over other champions in just one weekend.    Photo by  Susan & Lennah Photography LLC

KAYIN ASFA Champion
Kayin Earned His ASFA  Lure Coursing Field Championship ( FCh title) at the age of 16 months old.  To be a Champion it requires 100 points (points determined by the number of other ridgebacks you defeat).  While earning these points you have to get at least one first placement and 2- second placements.  Kayin did this in only 2.5 months of intermittent coursing.  His winning run was in Indiana over 6 open (novice) ridgebacks and 7 field Champion ridgebacks.   Kayin loves to run and practices on all the squirrels and chipmunks in my backyard.

Lure coursing is when 3 sighthounds (most often the same breed) run after a lure that is set up on a pully system in a large field.  The lure zigs and zags around and the dogs are scored in their speed, endurance, agility, enthusiam, and follow.  The judge can tell them apart by the 3 different coat colors they are assigned to wear, either pink, blue or yellow.
